Su Mia, the chief scientist of the World Health Organization said in an interview that about 60% of humanity’s road to fight against COVID-19 virus has been traversed, but unexpected obstacles may still occur.
Su Mia replied when she was asked where mankind is going to fight against COVID-19: “If we compare the fight against the epidemic to a marathon, I hope that we will soon cross 60% of the road, but it is also possible that we will have to climb another unexpected mountain.”
She emphasized, “It is too early to say that we are about to cross the finish line because there are too many variables ahead”, such as the sudden emergence of new strains.
