In preparation for the opening of the border, Thailand relaxed more blockade measures, shortened curfews, and extended the opening hours of department stores and markets. Thailand will open the entry of vaccinated travelers from low-risk countries to exemption from isolation from November 1, but the government has not yet finalized the list of applicable countries.
Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha presided over a meeting of the epidemic command center on the morning of the 14th. The spokesperson of the epidemic command center Taweesin Visanuyothin announced at a press conference after the meeting, that the government would further relax more blockade measures.
In order to prevent the epidemic, Thailand has implemented a curfew from 9 am every night to 5 am the next day from July; as the epidemic slows down, the curfew will be shortened from 10 pm to 4 am the next day from October.
Taweesin Visanuyothin said on the 14th that from October 16th, the curfew will be further shortened from 11 pm to 3 am the next day. The closing time of department stores and markets can be extended from the current 9 pm to 10 pm, but the restaurant still cannot sell alcohol, bars and nightclubs are still closed.
Prayut Chan-o-cha announced on October 11 that since November 1, travelers from 10 low-risk countries including the United Kingdom, Singapore, Germany, the United States, and China will be able to enter Thailand without quarantine as long as they are fully vaccinated. The complete list of countries will be announced by the Thailand Epidemic Command Center in the near future.
